A loan of $775 helped to stock her retail shop.

Margret's story

Margret is a 45-year-old single mother of two chdilren, both of whom attend school. She also takes care of one orphan boy: he lives with Margret, and she pays his school fees and feeds him on the little income she generates from her retail shop.

Margret started her shop two years ago as a source of income after she was divorced by her husband. She needed to find a means of survival for her children since the bread winner had left them for another woman. Margret is a hard working and ambitious woman.

Margret hopes to expand into wholesale business to increase her income and better provide for her children. Her major challenge is an under-stocked shop. This discourages customers who ask for products she does not have, and she sometimes loses them to her immediate competitors. The loan will help her to improve the variety of products she offers and thus retain her customers.
