A loan of $2,900 helped a member to purchase piglets and pig feed.

Karanjung Lestari 1 Group's story

Ni Made lives with her husband and her children are still in school. Ni Made is helping her husband's income (he works as a farmer) by running a pig business at her home.

In order to expand her business, Ni Made raised capital by way of joining the group Karanjung Lestari 1, where she was also chosen by the other members as the head of the group and works together with MUK to get business loans for pig farmers.

With the loan of 3.5 million IDR per person, Ni Made is planning to buy 4 piglets with the price of 500,000 IDR each. Although the price of feed is currently very expensive, Ni Made expects the later sale of four pigs would gain an advantage of over 500.000 IDR per month and can increase the income of her husband to support her family and help her children's school fees.

In this group: Ni Made, Ni Made, Ni Rai, Gusti Made, Ni Wayan, Ni Ketut, Ni Putu, Desak Nyoman
