A loan of $1,000 helped to buy pigs and to build a shelter.

Romancita Maria's story

Fifty-two-year-old Romancita lives in the community of Chacaraseca on the outskirts of León. She is married and has six children. She raises pigs for a living; she used to grow and sell corn and with the earnings from that she started to buy pigs. Currently, she only raises and sells pigs, which has made her good profits. However, she needs better conditions for her animals, which is why she is asking for this loan to buy pigs and to build a shelter so her little pigs can have a place to develop under clean, healthy, strong conditions. These are the things customers look for when they buy.
