A loan of $800 helped to buy cosmetics, dyes and beauty products to improve her business.

Nena's story

Nena is 28 years old and single. She has a great sense of familial responsibility for her parents and younger siblings, as well as for her own 11-year-old daughter. She lives in a home made of quality construction materials, which she managed to build with much sacrifice. She has worked as a cosmetologist and hairdresser for the last 3 years in a small salon that she rents.

Nena comments that at the beginning it was not easy to advance her business because she lacked customers, but thanks to her patience and good service she has managed to strengthen her business so it can economically sustain her family. She likes her work very much, and considers herself to be detail-oriented and capable of performing in this business.

In order to continue improving her business, she wants to buy more cosmetic merchandise and increase customer traffic to her salon. Her future plans are to move to a bigger city and start a similar business that is larger scale, hoping to grow as a micro-entrepreneur to support the well-being of her young daughter. On this occasion, she hopes to rely on this loan of 2,000 soles to buy cosmetics, dyes and beauty products to improve her business.
