John is 50 years old and is married to Lillian. They have four children: two of them are studying at university and the other two are at secondary level.

In addition, John takes care of two dependants because their parents lack the capacity to look after them. He pays their tuition and caters for all their basic needs out of the little income that he generates from his business.

He started a retail shop in 1996 as a source of income to support his family and educate his children. He has managed the business for such a long time because of his good customer care and service, and the quality products he sells to them.

He has a dream of expanding his business through opening up other outlets so as to increase on his income. He hopes to see that his children get quality education as well as the dependants. His major challenges are inadequate capital and income for the family. He is the sole provider in the family as his wife is unemployed.

John's neighbours comment that he is a very hardworking, determined and is a dedicated ambitious businessman with a bright future.
