A loan of $525 helped to purchase cattle that she will raise and resell.

Aminata Samba's story

Aminata Samba is 48 years old and the mother of six children. The eldest is 27 years old and the youngest is ten. Aminata Samba has been raising cattle for the past three years. Aminata Samba is on her second loan cycle, and is currently seeking a loan of 250,000 XOF. She plans to use this loan to buy cattle, which she will then raise and resell. Aminata Samba helps her husband to pay for their daily expenses. Since Aminata Samba did not have consistent funding in the past, she was only able to raise one or two steers. Now, with her loan, Aminata Samba can increase the number of cattle she can afford to raise. She wants to one day have her own farm so that she can diversify her agricultural business. Aminata Samba would use her farm to raise cattle, as well as to grow produce to sell in the market.
