A loan of $1,825 helped to purchase eggs and a poultry generator.

Nugzar's story

Nugzar is 44 years old. He is a married man and lives in a small village in Mtskheta District with his wife, two children and his mother, who is provided with a retirement pension. Nugzar’s daughter is a student and his son goes to the local school. The family is busy with agricultural activities. They have a pig and sell piglets seasonally. The family has a poultry farm as well and sells chickens. Nugzar works hard to do his best for the family.

He requested a loan to expand his poultry farm. He plans to purchase eggs and a poultry generator (when the power goes out, the farmers rely on backup power systems to protect their animals) After the eggs are purchased, chicks will be hatched and they will be sold with a price mark-up after several months. This will increase the income of the family. With increased income they will be able to expand their agricultural business in order to make it more profitable. Living conditions of the family will be improved.
