Philip is a 47 year-old hard working married man with 10 children living in Kyenjojo-Uganda. He acquired his start-up capital from buying produce and selling maize and beans. He opened up a retail shop for general merchandise to help him look after his family and has been in business for three years. His business is located along a busy street attracting many customers; however, he has a challenge of inadequate capital to meet his customers' demands. He dreams of becoming a wholesaler and building a permanent home for his family. Philip is requesting a loan to purchase sugar, soap, rice, salt and cooking oil to sell.
