Mariam's story

Mariam lives in the Likoni area of Coast Province, Kenya. She is married and has one child. She owns a retail shop, a hardware store, which has been running for two years. She employs two other people in her business.
She learned about Milango through friends who invited her to the group, and she joined with the aim of accessing credit to improve her business operations. Her main challenges are high transport costs and bad debts.
