A loan of $1,500 helped to buy an engine.

Genaro's story

Genaro is fifty-nine years old and is married. He studied through primary school, and has two economic dependents in his care, one of which is his son and the other is his grandson. Genaro makes a living in agricultural production. He produces two hundred 100 lb loads of potatoes, thirty-six 25 lb sacks of beans, three 100 lb loads of corn, and oats. He does this on his own lands; these lands don't have irrigation systems, and they are located in the community called Lluri Grande, which is north of the town of Tiraque (about 15km away).

At the same time, he makes a living in a transportation service of passengers to and from Colomi Cochabamba.

Genaro makes it clear that he is a hardworking and responsible person who wants to better himself economically in life. For this purpose, he is in need of investment capital in order to buy an engine for his vehicle. In this way, he will be able to improve his income and therefore the quality of life of his dependents.
