A loan of $425 helped to buy school shirts, pants, sports outfits, underwear, and socks.

Arlette Roberta's story

Dona Arlette, born in the city of Flores, Mayasa, is married and has been in sales for four years. She is 39 years old, and she has a three person family with her spouse and their son.

She has a small area in the city's principal market, where she sells clothing for children, mosquito nets, and mattress covers, among other things. She sells to visitors of the market and she buys her products in the eastern market, a city to which she has to travel two times per month.

She also counts on the support of her spouse, since he has a small store selling disks, and between the two of them they have been able to get ahead, both for their home and their son that is in school.

She is asking for a loan in order to invest in school clothes since sales improve in this season because of the beginning of the school year, and this way she will be able to count on a variety of product offerings, which will allow her to grow her business and give better benefits to her family.
