A loan of $425 helped to buy school supplies such as notebooks, ballpoint pens, backpacks, erasers, rulers, etc..

Yajaira Celina's story

38 year old Yajaira is from Comarcas las Banderas in the outskirts of Teustepe. She is married, and is the mother of 3 children between the ages of 8, 13, and 14 years. They are all currently in school. She is in business and is the owner of a grocery store. She started her business with her own capital, money that she had saved. When she opened the store, she didn't sell many products. Later, with time, she invested every cent that she had in the store and, little by little, her sales increased. She is seeking a loan so that she can add other products that she hasn't had before, and that are often requested by her customers, to her inventory. She feels very satisfied as she has been gaining more customers and so she has been able to earn more income. The school year is nearly here, and this is why she is requesting the loan to buy school supplies such as notebooks, ballpoint pens, backpacks, erasers, rulers, etc. Her future plan is to grow her grocery store.
