Souad is a friendly and kind woman. She is from Lebanon and 50 years old. She’s a widowed woman living on her own.
Since Souad noticed that her income does not satisfy her needs, she decided to launch her clothing business and opened a shop with the small amount of money she already had. She sells a wide variety of women’s and children’s clothes, from which she earns a fair amount of money daily.
To better develop her work, Souad is requesting a loan from Kiva Partner Vitas s.a.l. She will use the loan to buy more merchandise for her business, such as pants, t-shirts and many other items. This will allow her to offer a greater variety of products and thus improve her income.
Souad wishes to live a peaceful life, and this is what she is trying to do by keeping her work at a good level.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
