A loan of $625 helped to pay for additional computer parts and supplies needed in her business.

Merly's story

This is Merly, 58, a resident of Dasmariñas, Cavite, Philippines. She is a mother to her children and they are managing their household as they operate the business. She also has a variety store for additional income. At this time, she is working hard to provide income for their family.

Merly operates an internet café business. Services like this become a need as customers’ demand increases. Her main patrons are students who require her services for school requirements. She has customers who need to rent computers for business purposes like writing a resume and office documentation; as well as customers who would just love to surf the net and visit any social network. She earns a minimum of PHP 500 in profit every day.

To help her continue operations of her business, she is requesting a PHP 25,000 loan. She will be using the loan to buy additional computer parts and accessories needed in her business. She expects a boost in her business income as she expands her business.

Merly hopes that her business will keep on growing and dreams that her grandchildren will have a good education and a good life. She faithfully meets up with her co-fellowship members to share stories of her work every week.
