Poeurn is 51 years old. She is married and resides with three children in Takeo Province, Cambodia. She has been cultivating rice and fattening up animals for more than ten years, earning approximately $1 daily. Her husband is employed and earns about $4 each day. Two of her children are garment workers who make an income of $6 per day. In order to improve her family’s finances, Poeurn requests a loan of $500 to purchase cattle to resell. By doing so, she would earn more income for the family. In the future, she would like to build a new house and help her youngest child earn a bachelor’s degree.
