A loan of $875 helped a member to buy pig feed.

Sary's Group's story

Savy is 44 years old and married. She is blessed with five children and currently all of them are still in school. She and the rest of her family are residing in the Thmor Koul district of Battambang province. To survive, she and her husband raise pigs and own a vegetable garden. From the current business, she is able to earn up to 41,600 KHR per day. With VisionFund (Kiva’s partner), Savy is a second-cycle client who has repaid her first loan completely. The past loan has returned a decent income to support the daily cost of living and helped especially in keeping all of her children in school. Now, she is seeking for 1,200,00 KHR and one of her co borrowers is applying for the same amount. An additional borrower is applying for 1,000,000 KHR. Savy is going to use her portion to buy pig feed. She hopes to fatten her pigs to a healthy condition so as she can sell them with a high price to improve her living conditions and continue her children's education.
