He is a second-time borrower with VisionFund, Kiva’s partner. He has fully repaid the initial loan, so he can afford to provide sufficient, decent food for his family, especially for his children.

The total of his group loan is 3,400,000 KHR; Dara will use his portion of 1,000,000 KHR to purchase fertilizer for his farmland.

He hopes to gain more yield, so he can sustain his living condition.

The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
