Koraisha's story

Koraisha is a 36-year-old married women from Balirampur Village Development Committee of Bara District. She is married to Mr. Allamudin.

Mrs. Koraisha and her husband have been in the business of selling food grain for the last seven years. Mrs. Koraisha goes to different villages and purchases paddy rice and pulses from the village people, and she sells the thus procured grain in the local market at higher prices. She has requested a loan of NPR 40000.00 (forty thousand) from Nirdhan Utthan Bank, Ltd. branch office to support this ongoing business as a seventh loan.

With the long association and transactions with Nirdhan Utthan Bank, Ltd., Mrs. Koraisha was able to buy some land in Balirampur Village out of the income from her food grain selling business, and she has been able to educate her son to secondary level. They have earned good local respect in the area where they operate their business.
