A loan of $4,975 helped a member to buy guinea pigs for her business.

Moyopata-San Sebastian Group's story

These members belong to the Moyopata San Sebastian communal bank. This bank is located in San Jeronimo District, in Cusco Province, Cusco Department.

Hilda, 40, is married and has one child. She alternates her daily activities with a business raising small animals like guinea pigs and hens, among others. She raises these animals and later sells them to customers who order them. She has been in this business for years, and it is going well for her because of the effort that she puts into it every day. This is the way that she moves her family forward.

Hilda is applying for the loan to buy guinea pigs for her business. The other group members work in carpentry, transportation, small animal sales, hot beverage sales, and chicha sales (a sweet drink made from purple corn). Hilda is grateful to those who are part of her dream and she promises to make her payments on time.
