A loan of $1,000 helped to buy livestock.

Feliciano Timoteo's story

Feliciano Timoteo, age 60, is married and has four grown and independent children. He is from Malpaisillo, which is located in the western area of the country. Feliciano is known for being a hard-working and responsible person. He has demonstrated this with his previous loans, which he repaid on time. He has been a very hard-working man from a very early age. Due to the lack of financial resources, he was not able to go to school.

Thanks to his will to improve, his business activity is buying and selling livestock (cows, bulls, horses) and selling milk. He has been doing this business activity for 11 years. His business is located at his house, and he sells in an itinerant manner.

The objective of the loan is to invest working capital and to buy livestock, which is being sold at a good price. He will do this in order to have better income in the not very distant future. Feliciano is grateful for the help that the Kiva lenders give to people with scarce resources in poor countries like Nicaragua so that they can have the means to earn a decent living.
