A loan of $1,375 helped to buy materials such as cane, nails, corrugated iron, etc.

Richard's story

Richard, 29, lives in the city of Pucallpa, which is known for its warm, welcoming climate, beautiful scenery and varied gastronomy. Richard has lived through difficult times, but was able to get a forestry engineering degree with much effort, since his parents had little resources. To study, he had to work during the day and study at night.

Richard works nine hours a day as a forest technician at a company in the city. He helps his parents with the household expenses and believes he is getting ahead because he is responsible and honest.

Richard is very grateful to Kiva lenders, thanks to whom he can buy construction materials to repair the roof of his house. These include, cane, corrugated iron, nails, etc. This will give his family more safety and allow him to continue toward his goal of "Forming a family".
