A loan of $700 helped to repair the stucco and paint the walls.

Roxana Maria's story

Roxana, 38, lives in the city of Ica which is known for its warm, welcoming climate and crop agriculture, especially of grapes, asparagus, etc. Roxana is very determined to get ahead and has worked hard all her life since her parents had very little income. Thanks to her efforts she was able to get an elementary education degree. Currently, she works at the city school teaching young children, which is what she enjoys most. She works eight hours a day and believes she is successful at her job because she is very kind to the students, showing them a lot of patience.

Roxana is very grateful to Kiva lenders because, thanks to them, she is able to repair and paint the walls of her house. This will improve her lifestyle and give her more safety so she can continue working toward her goal: "To have her own house and a school.".
