A loan of $1,275 helped to buy fruit and vegetables to sell.

Salvador's story

Salvador, age 42, is married and has three children. He lives in a village in the San Francisco municipality in Atlántida.

Salvador has been selling fruit and vegetables for five years. He sells potatoes, tomatoes, chilies, onions, beets, bananas, and cabbage, etc. He sells in an itinerant manner, and he has a setup at his house where he sells his product.

He has requested his eighth loan from ODEF. The loan is for 25,000 lempiras, and he will buy a variety of seasonal fruits and vegetables. He will do this to stock up and to increase sales.

His goal is to establish the business in another spot and to build a stall to sell his products.
