A loan of $225 helped to buy juices, sodas, bottled water, vegetables and fruit.

Magela De Jesus's story

Magela is married, works as a retailer, and owns a small grocery store. She studied international relations, and comes from the city of León. Magela started her business with her mother’s help, and the first products she sold were sodas. This helped her to pay for her university degree. She now gets by thanks to her grocery store, as the financial crisis and lack of work have meant that she was unable to continue with her professional career. However, this did not discourage her from getting ahead in life and continuing with her business, and she is constantly looking for ways to improve it.

Magela has requested this financing to buy juices, sodas, bottled water, vegetables and fruit. She plans to invest the money in the purchase of new and improved products to supply her grocery store, turning it into a distribution point for various products for the home.
