A loan of $325 helped to invest money in buying wholesale cheese.

Ursula's story

Ursula, aged 58, is a hardworking woman. She lives with her husband Benedicto, with whom she has ten children, but only four of these- Ronal, Rafo, Keny y Micaela, live with them in the house they inherited 20 years ago.

Five years ago, she began to work buying and selling cheese. She says that since then, she has had a better life and more motivation to succeed. She travels to the capital city every fifteen days to sell cheese that she makes herself using the milk produced by her cows. Over time, she attracted more customers, and so began to buy cheese from other farmers.

“My business is going very well, I sell a lot of cheese and before arriving home I already have more orders", she says.

Now, Ursula would like to buy a new dairy cow so that she can increase the amount of milk produced by her herd, as well as continue to grow crops because she likes living from the land. She belongs to the “Niño Jesús” (Baby Jesus) community bank and this is her first loan with MFP. She is grateful for the opportunity to progress, and promises to make her repayments on time. She also likes belonging to her bank, where everyone is united.

Ursula will invest the money in buying wholesale cheese.
