A loan of $200 helped to buy balanced feed for her animals.

Maria's story

María, 47, is a noble woman. She became a widow four years ago, and since then she has taken care of her four children and guided them on their way in life. Now she lives with two of her children, Miriam and Rut, in the house which she bought twenty years ago.

"My work is planting crops and raising animals. Since my husband died, these are my main sources of income," she says. Her life is based on hard work. Despite her own needs, she has always given a good education to her children, who are now professionals. She has seven cows which produce an average of 48 liters of milk per day, which she sells to a milk distributor. She also plants potatoes and corn in several of her own agricultural plots in her town.

She would now like to improve her cows' milk production. She belongs to the "Niño Jesús" communal bank, and this is her eighth loan with MFP. She is grateful for the opportunity to progress, and she promises to make her payments on time. She also enjoys being a member of her association, where everyone is united and supportive.

María will invest this loan in the purchase of balanced feed for her animals.
