A loan of $225 helped a member to buy materials for building a decent latrine.

Prak's Group's story

Originally from a village of the Sa Ang district of Kandal province, Cambodia, Prak is a 48-year-old mother of seven children, four of whom are dependent on her and are still in school. To support her family, she has been farming rice for thirty years. She is able to earn about KHR 12,000 per day to meet the family’s needs.

Prak has been with VisionFund Cambodia for two cycles and completely paid back the past loans. The past loan has helped her to better support her family’s living conditions.

Now, she is leading her group of three (Prak's Group) to ask for a loan. Prak will use her portion to buy materials for building a decent latrine, such as a latrine bowl, tile draining, sewage, etc. She hopes this loan will enable her family to have a healthy latrine and improve their standard of living.
