Zaida's story

Zaida is 30 years old and is a simple woman. She lives with her husband Flavio with whom she has three children: Anderson, Angely and Lidy. She cares for them in the house that she has rented for five years. While her husband works cutting wood for sale, Zaida works with livestock. She owns pigs, sheep and cows. Her work consists of fattening the animals in order to sell them at a better price. With the cattle, she uses them for milk and she sells it every day to the milk men in the zone. In the morning she cares for the animals, and in the afternoon she goes out to her fields of potato, corn, and beans. These are planted in rented fields and in others from the Association, since her motto is "work without ceasing." She belongs to the communal bank "Baby Jesus" and this is her fifth credit with MFP. She is thankful for the opportunity to make progress, and she promises to be punctual in her payments. She enjoys belonging to this association, where everyone is united and supportive. Zaida will invest the money from her loan in the purchase of more animals like pigs and sheep, in order to increase her livestock.
