A loan of $800 helped to buy organic compost for her crops.

Ketty's story

Ketty, age 28, is a hardworking young woman. She lives with her husband Wilmer and their two children, Dany and Jefri, who they care for and love dearly. They live in a house that she inherited 16 years ago.

Ketty is a strong woman who is different from others because she is one of the first to work in highway construction. She is very pleased about this because she is able to earn an extra income and help her husband, who is a musician who plays at different events in their town. “He plays folk music,” confirms Ketty. She takes advantage of her free time to help her husband with growing crops and raising cows, sheep, and heifers. They know that they have customers who will always buy their products. Ketty and her husband also enjoy spending time in the fields. Thanks to their efforts, she says that they were able to file the papers for their house that shows legal ownership. They also bought several plots of farmland for planting.

Ketty is a member of the Communal Bank “La Rosa de Paltarumi” and this is her seventh loan with MFP. She is very pleased that she can develop her business activities as normal, thanks to the support of the Kiva lenders. Ketty also promises to handle all of her payments in a timely manner since she has always been a responsible and honest person. By receiving this loan, she will invest the money she requested in the purchase organic compost that she can apply on her crops.
