A loan of $400 helped to buy cleaning products to do her work.

Elizabeth's story

Elizabeth, age 35, is an unassuming woman. She was widowed four years ago, and ever since she has been raising her three children, Jesus, Jhosep, and Angie in the house she rented six years ago.

Her job for the past five years has been cleaning a public institution. She receives her pay monthly for her contract of one year, and she takes great care with it. “I had to apply for the annual cleaning contract. I have to get all of the cleaning products and supplies that are needed. They, in turn, pay me the annual service amount, but in monthly payments.”

As the work is not difficult, she cleans the installations herself. She does this from the morning until the evening. She hopes to be able to continue with this work. Later on, she is planning on having workers to do so. This way she will apply to clean several much larger public institutions.

She belongs to the Niño Jesús communal bank, and this is her eighth loan with MFP. She is grateful for the opportunity to progress. She pledges to be punctual with her payments. She likes belonging to her communal bank, where they are all close-knit and supportive.

Elizabeth will use the loan to buy cleaning products to do her work.
