A loan of $1,175 helped buy materials to decorate her child care center and if there is sufficient money, to purchase a sewing machine.

Alejandra's story

Alejandra is 38 years old and is a simple woman. She lives with her husband Pedro, with whom she has 4 children. At present, she only needs to care for 3 of them: Joel, Pedro Enrique, and Luz Esther. They live in a house she bought some 6 years ago. Her work is noble and and she enjoys it very much: caring for the children of her town.

For the last 6 years, Alejandra has undertaken this work because of her noble character and her desire to help women who need child care for their children. That's why she opened this nursery, where she cares for 8 children every day, from the earliest hours until late in the day. Each month she receives an amount of money sufficient for her to cover some of the household costs, while her husband dedicates his efforts to the worthy business of operating a sawmill.

Now, Alejandra wishes to expand and improve her installation in order to offer the children better attention. Also, she wants to start a clothes-making business with her daughter, who works in the capital in this same field. Alejandra belongs to “The Child Jesus” Communal Bank and this is her 11th loan through MFP. She appreciates the opportunity to progress, and promises to be punctual in making her payments. Moreover, she likes belonging to the association, where everyone is united and supportive.

Alejandra will invest the money in purchasing materials to adorn her nursery and, if there is sufficient money remaining, she will buy a sewing machine.
