Ilqar's story

Ilqar is a 49-year-old man on a pension. He is an IDP who lives in the Bilasuvar IDP Settlement with his wife and four children. He is a farmer and has raised seasonal fruits and vegetables for the last 16 years. He chose this business because it is profitable and fresh crops are in high demand. People use fresh vegetables every day and consider them healthy. Many national dishes are made of vegetables, like pilau and dolma. Fresh fruits are served on every table in Azerbaijan and also used to make fresh punch.

Ilqar sells his crop in the central bazaar. His monthly income is 140 AZN. His wife actively helps him to raise the crops.
As his products are in high demand, Ilqar wants to expand his business and produce more fruits and vegetables to cover market demand. For this purpose he applied for 1000 AZN. He will buy new garden tools, seeds and fertilizers. This will be his third loan and he has a positive client history.
