Daniel's story

Daniel lives in the Nanyuki area of Central province, Kenya. He is married and has two children. He owns a tea tree farm, a business he has been operating for one year now. Besides this, he has been a horticultural farmer, planting potatoes, maize, and beans. The oil from the tea tree is used to manufacture cosmetics. He learned of Milango through a friend who invited him to the group and he joined with an aim of accessing credit to improve on his business operations. His main challenges are lack of funds and water. Daniel is applying for a loan of 10,734 Kenya shillings to buy tea tree seedlings. His extra income will be added to his savings to improve the living standard of his family. He aspires to purchase a pickup to transport the farm produce.
