Hasmik's story

Hasmik is engaged in a fruits and vegetables trade. She rents a place in one of Sevan City's shops where she runs her small business. Hasmik’s husband helps her to transfer vegetables and fruits, which she buys in wholesale markets, using his own car. Hasmik has a higher economics education – she is an accountant – and this fact helps Hasmik in her business. During the Soviet period for over 20 years, she worked as an accountant. But after the Soviet system destroyed many enterprises, Hasmik became unemployed. That’s why she decided to run her own business.

Now Hasmik has a lot of clients, and not only from her area in Sevan City. Many people prefer to buy fruits and vegetables from shining Hasmik. She likes her activity and does it with great pleasure, because, as she says, trading is hard but at the same time is a very profitable business.

Hasmik is married and lives with her husband, son, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren in Sevan City. All of them are unemployed and they are engaged in farming. Hasmik is seeking a loan of 1,000,000 Armenian drams to buy a lot of fruits and vegetables for reselling in her shop. This loan will help Hasmik to enlarge her goods assortment and to receive more profit from her trading.
