Karine's story

Karine is 53 years old and lives in Sevan city. She is involved in the trade of fruits and vegetables, for which she rents a shop. The income of her trading business helps her to provide for the needs of her family without support from anybody. Karine is divorced and lives with her son, daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren. All of her family members are unemployed, and that’s why Karine works hard to obtain a means of living.

Karine has a high education; she is a Philologist. She worked in a glass insulation factory as a weaver for more than 8 years, but after the destruction of the Soviet Union many factories were closed and Karine became jobless. That period was the hardest in her life and it seemed like a stalemate. But she is a strong person and soon she started her own trading business. Step-by-step her business activity developed and now her trading is going well.
