Frieda's story

Frieda, who is 34, is an enterprising woman with a strong desire to succeed. She lives with Walter, who is a tradesman, and their 3 children. Frieda sells cosmetics which means going from house to house to take orders from her customers who select products from a catalogue. She also sells clothing and jewellery. She also has a small corner of her home where she stores and displays her goods and into which she serves her customers, assisted by her eldest daughter. Frieda has been running the business for 3 years and things are going well for her. What she likes about her job is that it contributes to her household income and also because it enables her to manage her time. In the future she hopes to extend her business premises and have a stock of new products which she will be able to display them more easily and offer excellent service to her customers. This is her second loan with the MFP institution; she is very happy with the group and additionally hopes to be able to comply as she has until now. She has many expectations for the future and hopes to maintain her impeccable credit history with the institution so that she can continue working as she has until now. She will use the requested 2500 soles to buy mail order goods which are on special offer, such as perfume, talcum powder and jewellery, to build up a stock of goods and maximise her profits.
