Rebecca's story

Rebecca lives in Kakata Town, the capital City of Margibi County, which is the highest-producing rubber plantation in Liberia. She is 31 years old, married and has two children, aged 9 and 14. Both children are in school and live at home Rebecca did not go to school, but she is good at managing her business. For the past seven years, she has been selling palm oil, pepper, rice, etc. in the local market. She started this business with help from her husband and learned this way of selling from her friends. Rebecca is requesting a loan to purchase more palm oil, pepper, rice, etc. for her business. She enjoys her business because of the profit she receives every day. Her plan is to build a house for her children.
