A loan of $400 helped purchase wood and labor to make improvements to her home.

Susana's story

Susana is 50 years old and is married to Francisco, 59. They are very proud of their two children Nesuar, 20, and Margoth, 15. All of their hard work and effort is dedicated to their children.
They have a modest home made of wood that they purchased 2 years ago.
Ever since she was a child she has been involved with farming with her parents who she used to help by doing small jobs so that later, when she was older, she would inherit the land from her parents.
Since she lives in the city she gets up very early to go to her land located on the outskirts of the urban zone where she grows food crops such as cocoa, organic coffee, etc.
When she completes a growing season she feels satisfied to be able to generate enough income to pay her laborers and to cover her own expenses.
In order to better her children’s quality of life she wants to make improvements to her home for which she needs sufficient financial support.
Her plans for the future are to buy a smaller cargo vehicle to transport her products to be shipped to the distributors of her region.
She is requesting a loan of 1,000 nuevos soles [Peruvian currency] to purchase wood and labor as she wants to start construction on her home.
