A loan of $400 helped to buy a refrigerator to stock up her business with cold drinks.

Jannet's story

Jannet is 28 years old and is a mother. She has a talent for business. She has a partner, 33 year-old Fernando, and together their greatest motivation is their son Luis, who is ten years old.

They live in a wooden house that they acquired a little after marrying. Motivated by work and the family’s financial growth, Jannet previously worked in agriculture before choosing to start selling spicy foods from the door of her home. For two years now she has been selling kebabs and other foods to her neighbours every evening. She has loyal diners that return for the flavours and for the good service.

Jannet says that she really likes her business as it has made her very well known in the neighbourhood, allowing her to form many friendships. Nevertheless, the rains stop her business from running normally as she must stop working until Mother Nature puts an end to these difficult weather conditions.

In order to establish her business more, Jannet needs to start selling cold beverages and drinks made with local fruits. She will then be able to attract more customers and thus earn more money. Her future plan is to expand her business – as much as her house will allow – by having tables and other furniture. This is Jannet’s first loan with MFP and she is grateful for the opportunity. She hopes to make the loan repayments on time.

She needs 1000 Nuevo Soles to invest in a refrigerator to stock up her business with cold beverages.
