Miguel Angel's story

Condega is a town in the northern part of the department of Estelí, known as a land of potters because of its crafts and hardworking people. Miguel Angel lives in a neighboring community with his wife and five children, whom he has to support and give an education. His profession is farming basic grains and small-scale livestock.

Known as an honest and hardworking person, he has property that measures 10 manzanas [1 mz. = 1.68 acres] with different areas for farming and livestock.

Recently he visited the office of CEPRODEL and he's requesting a loan to buy fertilizer and hoses and to pay for labor. He plans to make a profit and provide the necessary maintenance on his farm and his coffee.

He has had eight loans for this type of work. He has been working with CEPRODEL for eight years. The impact on and the benefits to himself and his family are positive because his farm is in better condition, which allows him to improve his work and standard of living.
