A loan of $525 helped to buy vegetable seeds.

Ibourahima's story

Ibourahima is 20 years old and lives with his wife in the prefecture of Ouelessebougou, Koulikoro region. Ibourahima did not get the opportunity to go to school. He became interested in revenue-generating activities at a very young age, notably the buying and selling of vegetable seeds. He learnt his trade alongside his maternal uncle, who used to be a large retailer of seeds.

Ibourahima decided to work together with Soro Yiriwaso in order to be able to satisfy his growing customer base. This is his 3rd individual loan and will be used to buy 200 packets of vegetable seeds from the wholesalers in Bamako, which he will resell in Ouelessebougou and in the surrounding villages, for cash or credit, to a mixed retail clientèle. He hopes to make an average monthly of 50 000 francs, part of which will be used to repay the loan, whilst the rest will be reinvested in his business.
