A loan of $625 helped to purchase grain for resale.

Fousseyni's story

Fousseyni is 33 years old and lives with his wives and two children in the sub prefecture of Kourouba, in the Koulikoro region. Fousseyni never had the opportunity to attend school. He became interested in income-generating activities early on, notably the purchase, storage and sale of grain.

In order to satisfy his customers while maintaining growth, Fousseyni decided to collaborate with Soro Yiriwaso. Having fully repaid his third loan, Fousseyni is currently on his fourth individual loan. He plans to use it to purchase two and a half tons of grains (such as maize, beans, millet, and fonio) from farmers and producers in Dangassa and the surrounding area. Fousseyni will store the grain for at least two months. He sells mainly to wholesale customers consisting of retailers from large cities like Bamako and Sanankoroba.

Fousseyni hopes to earn an average monthly income of 150,000 FCFA, which he will use to repay his loan and to reinvest in his business.
