Karamatkhan's story

Karamatkhan is 58 years old, married and has two adult sons. Her grandson, who attends a seventh grade, lives together with them. Karamatkhan started her business in animal husbandry and farming in 1990. After the breakup of the USSR, she received a land plot because collective farms were dissolved. Karamatkhan started her business with 10,000 KGS. Today, she has a very well-developed business. She also grows potatoes and beans and sells the harvest at local markets. In order to further develop her business, Karamatkhan requested a loan in the amount of 130,000 som (KGS) from the "Bai-Tushum and Partners" company to buy a horse and two heifers, and fertilizers with the rest of the funds.
