This small group is led by Khemisa L., who is in the business of selling groundnuts at the market. Khemisa, 30 years old and divorced, has two children, aged 4 and 15. Each week she makes approximately 100 Sudanese pounds in profit and with the loan, she hopes to be able to buy more groundnuts to sell.

Khemisa is joined in her small group by Esther M., Luica A., Sadia S., and Rose A.. Esther M. sells beer at the bar and wants to build a lodge at the river shore. Luica A. currently sells charcoal and wants a loan to open up a bar at her market premises. Sadia S. sells cold goods such as soda and ice cream at the market and wants to expand her shop. Rose A. sells radios and televisions at the market and is requesting a loan to build a place for watching football competitions such as the World Cup and many more.
