A loan of $525 helped to purchase rice, flour, and sugar for her store.

Ramona's story

Ramona is 50 years old and has a ten year old son who is school aged. Ramona works selling a variety of basic items such as groceries, candy, soft drinks, and other home products at her neighborhood store, which is located in the Bajo Pampahasi area.

This loan is her first with Emprender. She plans to use the loan to purchase a variety of groceries at wholesale to stock her store such as rice, pasta, flour, and sugar. This will allow her to provide a larger variety of products to her customers. She is requesting the loan to continue improving her business.

Ramona will use the profits to continue purchasing products and therefore improve her income. Since it is Carnival time, her products are very in demand. She hopes her business will have a larger space so that she can provide better service to her customers. Ramona feels happy with the opportunity provided since this is the only work that will allow her to support herself.
