Lumboka Humble Group's story

Moses is a member of Lumboka Humble Group in Bungoma South District. He is pictured with 10 One Acre Fund farmers, 4 women and 6 men. Moses is standing on the right with his hand raised. He is receiving an input loan for ½ an acre of maize, millet and sorghum cultivation. The 2013 Long Rains season will be Moses’ first season with One Acre Fund. He joined this year in order to access the best input prices and to grow enough food for the family.

Moses described his harvest last year as good, but hopes he can have an even better one as a One Acre Fund farmer. He plans to use the money that he earns from his next harvest to send his children to school and to save for the future. During the 2013 Long Rains season, each group member will receive ½ an acre of agricultural inputs on credit, for a group total of 5 acres worth of inputs.

In this group: Moses, Robert, Nighty, Patrick, Everline, Godwin, Inviolata, Janipha, Samuel, Wilfred
