A loan of $650 helped to buy livestock.

Askar's story

Askar is a young man of the age of 32. He is married and has two children. He and his family live in a village. The whole family works with crop production, and also with livestock breeding. They mainly grow onions, wheat and potatoes. However, Askar's main source of income is from fattening livestock. Every morning his wife milks the cow, which gives up to 10 liters of milk, which she sells to her neighbors and acquaintances. His wife also produces dairy products like yoghurt, cottage cheese and sour cream.

During the season, Askar gets a good harvest and income from growing crops, but currently it is the season for fattening livestock and for income from this type of activity. Therefore he tries to purchase livestock and in the spring, after having fattened them, resell them more expensively. Askar plans to invest the income received in the purchase of livestock to develop his business. He expresses his thankfulness to the Kiva organization for the financial help and support.
