Kanayim's story

Kanayim is 47 years old and has a secondary education. For many years already, she has been the director of her village's public health care program. Her only son lives with her and happens to be her main helper. She also has three daughters: the youngest lives with her. She is a secondary school student who helps her mother during her spare time. Kanayim's two older daughters are now independent and have their own families.

By nature, Kanayim is a pleasant and kindhearted woman. Her family became involved in farming 30 years ago, even before the collapse of the Soviet Union. The family now raises livestock and cultivates field crops. The family's total yearly income comes close to 240,000 som (KGS).

In order to further develop her business, Kanayim has turned to "Bai Tushum & Partners" for a loan of 135,000 som (KGS) for the purchase of young bulls and sheep. She plans to use the profits from this loan to pay for her grandchildren's education.
