A loan of $625 helped to pay for grocery items, toiletries and beverages needed in her business.

Mira's story

This is Mira. Her previous loan was a big help to her business. She was able to buy all the needed grocery items and the loan was also a big help for her children's education expenses. She also has a piggery and a 'jeepney' for additional income. She and her husband are working hard to provide income for their family.

She would like to apply for a 25,000 PHP loan to buy groceries, toiletries, beverages and other products to add in her inventory. The more items displayed at the store the better. More items to sell will result in better profit. Her profits from business will definitely help cover her family’s daily needs and her children’s education expenses. She looks forward to this financial increase with gladness and thankfulness in her heart.

Mira dreams of having a good life and a happy family. She hopes that her variety store will become a grocery store. She faithfully meets up with her co-fellowship* members to share stories of her life and business every week and also draw strength and inspiration from the fellowship and from Word of God she studies.

* All CCT community partners / clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social capital, and repay microfinance loans.
