Tuy's Group's story

Originally from a village of Battambang province’s Mongkul Borey district, Tuy is 62 years old, married, and has five children, one of whom is a dependent. For more than thirty-two years, she has been farming rice as a primary source of income and she can earn about 25,000 KHR per day and manages to save about 10,000 KHR each day for future needs. Tuy has been with VisionFund for three cycles while the other member has been with VisionFund for one cycle. Tuy has completely paid back the past loans which have helped her support her family as well as her current business. Now she is leading her group of two to ask for a loan. As the leader, she wants to use her portion to buy fertilizer for her farmland and use a portion of it to spend on laborers for plowing the field. She hopes to increase her crop yield to continue her family's progress.
